And why use latex free paint? Before you dig into painting ask yourself these questions and your home will be a little bit brighter and a whole lot safer as a result of them.

What are polyurethane fumes?

If you find yourself asking the question “what are polyurethane fumes” perhaps this is something you should answer for yourself prior to putting a stain down on your floor. Polyurethane fumes are fumes that when left uncured can cause a number of problems. These fumes are known to cause asthma as well as other breathing problems. If you paint your floor with any type of uncured polyurethane stain and experience any sort of heath issues such as nausea, headache, shortness of breath, vomiting, or any sort of throat and eye irritation than it is the fumes in the varnish that are making you sick and a doctor should be seen immediately and the floors need to be treated with a stain that is not going to make you sick.

Why do I need a wall primer?

A wall primer will make it easier for when you are painting your walls. Having a coat that acts as a base and allows for the color to comfortably sit on top of the walls themselves will make it a lot easier to hide any seams, knots, or natural marks within your concrete or wood. These primers are important to make your job easier when it comes to painting your walls and floors. Being conscious of what you are placing on your walls and floor is an important part of restructuring your home.

Why should I use latex free paint?

If you or someone you know that is close to you and frequents your home has a latex allergy than latex paint could cause all kinds of repertory problems for them while they are inside of your home. Be careful if you or the person painting your home has a problem with latex, always be sure to know what is in the paint you’re using and if the paint is going to cause any harmful effects to you or your loved ones. A different paint is easy to choose, you on the other hand are not that easy to replace.

Before you paint your home make sure you familiarize yourself with everything you’re going to be using when painting your walls and floors. These are changes to your home that you’re going to be living with first and foremost. In 2017 it was reported that most homeowners decided to go with neutral color pallets when painting their homes and also that homes with blue bathrooms are found to be much easier to sell than any other colored bathrooms. So if you have any plan on flipping your home or selling it in the future perhaps these are areas to keep in mind when you’re picking out your paint colors and redesigning your rooms.
